About Us
The Alder Lacrosse Club was formed in 2010 for the purpose of bringing the exciting game of lacrosse to the boys and girls living within the Jonathan Alder school district vicinity.

The Alder Lacrosse Club is a program of the Pioneer Optimist Club of Plain City which oversees other great community youth programs like Youth Cheer and Youth Football.

Lacrosse is only currently offered in High School as a Jonathan Alder school district sport. The Pioneer Optimist Lacrosse Club runs the youth program (3rd - 6th), as well as the Jr High (7th & 8th) team. Our Jr. High team plays contests against other Jr High school teams in Central Ohio following the rules and guidelines set forth by the Ohio Middle School Lacrosse Association (OMSLA). Our High School team plays contest against other area High School teams at both the Jr Varsity and Varsity levels following the rules and guidelines set forth by the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA). The High Schoolers are beginning their 2nd season as a Varsity Sport, and are one of the the newest lacrosse programs in the Central Ohio region. We consider our players true "pioneers" as they work hard to be competitive against other more seasoned teams, but also as they stand strong against the pressure of bringing a new sport into our community.

Like any new sport attracting new players is key to our success, but also getting new helpers and community advocates like you are important to our program. If you would like to help us and the young men who play lacrosse in our pioneering efforts. Please drop us note on our contact us page.

We are also looking for team and club sponsors. If you have a business or know of a business that would like to sponsor the Alder Lacrosse Club, please contact us via the "Contact Us" link under the "Our Club" menu.
